PEMBERDAYAAN KADER KESEHATAN DALAM OPTIMALISASI PEMERIKSAAN ANKLE-BRACHIAL INDEX (ABI) DAN KOLESTEROL UNTUK DETEKSI DINI PERIPHERAL ARTERY DISEASE PADA KOMUNITAS BERISIKO SINDROM METABOLIK

Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) merupakan komplikasi aterosklerosis yang sering tidak terdeteksi pada tahap awal, terutama pada individu dengan sindrom metabolik. Rendahnya kemampuan kader kesehatan dalam melakukan skrining PAD menjadi salah satu kendala dalam upaya deteksi dini di tingkat komunitas. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader kesehatan dalam melakukan pemeriksaan Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) dan kolesterol sebagai metode deteksi dini PAD. Kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui edukasi, demonstrasi, praktik langsung, dan evaluasi keterampilan yang melibatkan 50 kader kesehatan di Desa Jabon, Kabupaten Mojokerto. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa 76% kader memiliki kemampuan sangat optimal dan 24% memiliki kemampuan optimal dalam melakukan pemeriksaan ABI dan kolesterol sesuai prosedur. Program ini berhasil meningkatkan kapasitas kader dalam mendukung skrining PAD berbasis komunitas serta memperkuat upaya promotif dan preventif penyakit tidak menular pada kelompok berisiko sindrom metabolik.
